Lynn Tewksbury/Justin Vanderwall Memorial Tournament

    Youth Wrestling tournament with wrestling trophies for first-, second-, and third-place finishers. Pre-registration ONLY (complete below). Walk-in registration will NOT be accepted. Payment is due during event check-in on Jan. 30. Make checks payable to Midlakes Wrestling Boosters.

    Date: Sunday, Jan. 30, 2022
    Admission: $3 adult, $1 children. (See registration details below).
    Location: Midlakes High School, 1554 State Route 488, Clifton Springs. (Two gyms will be used. Only one entry per session).

    Session No. 1: Takedown Tournament
    A three-minute running clock will stop only on out of bounds. Limited to the first 150 athletes pre-registering.

    • Age groups: 5/6 and 7/8.
    • Registration/Weigh-in: 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
    • Start time: 9:45 a.m.
    • Registration fee: $25. Pay on Jan. 30.

    Session No. 2: Folkstyle Tournament
    Section V/National Federation of State High School Associations rules. Limited to the first 150 athletes pre-registering. Prior wrestling experience is not needed. Section V certified sports officials.

    • Age groups: 9/10, 11/12, and 13/14.
    • Registration/Weigh-in: 7 - 11 a.m.
    • Start time: Immediately follows Session No. 1
    • Registration fee: $25. Pay on Jan. 30.

    Additional Information

    • Eligibility: Ages determined as of January 1, 2022. (Must show proof if challenge. $20 fee to challenge. Non-refundable if a challenge is lost).
    • Food: Concessions available ALL DAY.
    • Rules: Three one-minute periods for ages 9/10 and 11/12. Periods will be 90 seconds for ages 13/14. Section V/National Federation of State High School Associations rules.
    • Awards: Trophies for first-, second-, and third-place finishers, medals for remaining participants.
